Máire Zepf has written 16 books for children, from picture books to a YA verse novel.
Winner of the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Book of the Year Award, 5 LAI Children’s Book Awards and 2 international White Ravens among many others, her books appear in 10 languages worldwide. Her ‘Rita’ series of picture books with illustrator Mr. Ando has recently been adapted for television. She is writer and co-creator of the celtic anime series ‘Lí Ban’. The Co. Down author was the first Children’s Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland, based at the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry at QUB.

Through imagination, drawing, world-building, music, dance (and plenty of delightful gibberish), you’ll explore the wonders—and the woes—of our mechanical and extra-terrestrial friends before casting your all-important vote!
Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.
